According to my research, the Lloyd surname is Welsh "Llwyd" meaning gray. The Lloyd surname also has roots in Ireland and England.

My name is Charlie Vines, the site administrator for this site. I began my research on the Lloyd family because my wife's mother was a Lloyd (Laura Belle (Lloyd) Vaden. I have been researching our family history for over twenty-five years. While researching our family, I began discovering other Lloyd & Loyd families that others may research in the future, so I expanding the scope of this project. While looking for a new home of my research, I came across GenealogyVillage.com who is associated with AccessGenealogy.com (a site that I am familiar with and with whom I have a lot of respect. So I am in the process of moving my research to Genealogy Village.
